The MicroVAX 3100 Model 30-40-80 supermicrosystem is the newest member of Digital's 32-bit VAX family of computer systems that is configured using the extended Q-bus. Engineered to perform a wide range of applications, including realtime applica- tions, office automation, and general purpose programming, the MicroVAX 3100 Model 30-40-80 supermicrosystem gives you software compatibility with larger VAX systems. Any nonprivileged, native-mode program that runs on a VAX system will execute unmodified on a MicroVAX 3100 Model 30-40-80 microsystem. The MicroVAX 3100 Model 30-40-80 now offers distributed computing solutions for workstations and team computing with new Local Area VAXcluster capabilities. The MicroVAX 3100 Model 30-40-80 is packaged in a caster-mounted office enclosure that fits com- fortably under a table or into a corner and also in the traditional pedestal. Its newest enclosure is a 40-inch-high cabinet that contains dual BA23 chassis. Regardless of the package, the MicroVAX II microcomputer is easy to operate. Each has a rear distribution panel that provides simple plug-in connectors for terminals, network interfaces, and other cables.
