The Monitor and Emulation BD/BE is an eight-line synchronous intelligent front-end that - provides up to eight lines of interconnection between UNIBUS PDP 11 and VAX - systems and other devices with Monitor and Emulation RS 232 C/CCITT V.28, or CCITT V.35 (with - - optional hardware module) interfaces. The KMS 11 operates at speeds up to 56,000 bits per second in half- or full-duplex with full modern control. V.35 is required for 56K bits per second. The KMS11 supports direct memory access data transfers. Under VMS, KMS11-BD/BE supports X.25 Link Level, and HDLC framing Monitor and Emulation software. The X.25 link level software is currently warranted for four lines at 56,000 bits per second (using V.35) or eight lines at 19,200 bits per sec- ond. Electrical interfaces supported include EIA RS-232-C/CCITT V.28 and Monitor and Emulation V.35 (with optional hardware module). Includes a DD11 DK double sys- - tem unit and all internal cables. External cables are not included. Recommended cables are Monitor and Emulation (EIA RS 232) and BC17E (V.35). KMS11 BE is the same as - - Monitor and Emulation BD but without the Monitor and Emulation DD11 DK double system unit. - - KMS 1 1 -BD Eight-line communications multiplexer including a KMC11-B auxiliary processor unit, line terminator, modern control unit, I/O connection panel, double system unit, and internal cables. Monitor and Emulation KMS 11-BE Same as Monitor and Emulation KMS11-BD without the double system unit.
