The Ethernet transceiver (HVD to LVD Cconverter, RM, 1 Port) provides the functional interface between network nodes and the Ethernet coaxial cable. It sends signals over the cable, receives signals from the cable, and detects message collisions that occur. The HVD to LVD Cconverter, RM, 1 Port uses a unique tapping mechanism for the physical connection to the cable so that cutting the cable (and interrupting traffic an the network) is not required. The HVD to LVD Cconverter, RM, 1 Port can be customer installed using the Ethernet transceiver Installation Tool Kit. This transceiver is used in conjunction with an Ethernet communications controller at the host system. The transceiver cables must be ordered separately. H4000 Ethernet transceiver.
