The AlphaStation is a low-cost, single-line, synchronous, programmable interface that provides local or remote interconnection between Q-bus systems and other com- puter systems with AlphaStation RS-232-C/CCITT V.28 or EIA RS-232-C/CCITT V.11 interfaces. It operates at speeds of up to 56,000 bits per second in half- or full- duplex with full modern control. The DAlphaStationPV11 is programmable for either byte- oriented protocols (AlphaStation or BISYNC) or bit-oriented protocols (SDLC or HDLC). The AlphaStation is suited for interfacing to medium-speed synchronous lines for remote batch and remote job entry applications. The DPV11 is compatible with AlphaStation's family of modems and with the Bell 200 series modems and their equivalents. DPV11-M EIA RS-232-C/AlphaStation V.28 or V.11 interface.
